The aim of the Danish National Indicator Project is to secure mutual grounding and methods for documentation and development of quality in the Danish health care system for the benefit of the patients.

The aims of the project are:

• Improving the quality of prevention, diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation
• Providing documentation for making priorities
• Information of the quality in health care for patients and consumers
